Drake reveals worrying $8million gambling spiral in just one month
Drake’s betting streak has taken a dark turn and he knows it. The 38-year-old rapper reminded us we live on different planets this week when he admitted he’s lost $8million (£5.9m) in just one month.
‘Losses are so fried right now… gotta share the other side of gambling,’ he said on Instagram.
Instead of laying low, he’s ploughed another $800,000 into bets on the NBA finals, convinced the Oklahoma City Thunder will bring him a win.
One of those gambles? A risky $200K flutter on a specific 6-10 point victory. ‘Check that box @shai,’ he added, tagging star player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Fans were quick to point out this isn’t just bad luck, it’s a full blown… issue.
Drake’s even betting on video game Fortnite, of all things, and joked that fans should send him money. But no one’s laughing at this madness.
He’s not the only one in Hollywood’s gambling club: the likes of NBA legend Michael Jordan, actor Charlie Sheen and, most famously, Ben Affleck have long battled the tables.

Taylor Swift’s private texts set to be revealed… as Blake’s ‘dragon’ gets dragged into new Game of Phones
So Taylor Swift is *officially* being dragged back into the Blake vs Baldoni mess — we’re sure this is just what she wanted on her hiatus.
A judge ruled that yes, messages between actor Blake Lively and her former bestie Tay can be handed over to Justin Baldoni’s legal team as part of their never-ending, now officially annoying legal war over It Ends With Us.
The judge said Taylor's messages are fair game, especially if she knew anything about the ‘toxic set’ Blake’s suing over. Cue the champagne popping by Justin’s team.
Blake’s side says this is a PR stunt to ‘exploit Ms Swift’s popularity’. Which is low-key rich because Blake brought her name up in the first place.
She even referred to Taylor and her husband Ryan Reynolds as her ‘dragons’. How on point, as it’s now full on Game of Phones.
I was ‘pressured’ to call myself a lesbian, says JoJo
JoJo Siwa, 22, set social media tongues wagging again in her only post-Celebrity Big Brother interview. The sparkly pop tornado says she felt ‘pressured’ into calling herself a lesbian when actually, she’s ‘queer’ and ‘likes people’. Full stop.
And yes, that apparently includes Love Island’s Chris Hughes (together above). What started as a platonic snuggle in the Big Brother house has blossomed into her ‘favourite part of life’ — even if he is her first proper boyfriend. Ever.
She says the showmance, sorry… the relationship, took ‘time away, and then time together’ to develop. Now she’s meeting his family. And, more importantly, his horse. Honestly, who had JoJo Siwa riding into the Cotswolds with a farmer’s son on their 2025 Bingo cards?
Brooklyn and Nicola’s $16m ‘new’ mansion… or is it?
So about that brand new $16million (£11m) LA mansion Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz supposedly bought to escape the Beckhams? There’s a mystery there.
There have been fresh reports that the pair ‘just bought’ a five-bed palatial spot in Beverly Hills to put space between them and his parents David and Victoria, having previously been renters in the area.
The Spotlight is here to tell you that this is… old news.
Property records (and our receipts) confirm that Brooklyn and Nicola bought a five-bedroom Beverly Hills wellness palace — complete with crystal energy zones and a rooftop meditation trail — back in 2021, just after they got married.
In 2022 they actually listed it for sale, with whispers they were moving to be nearer both sets of parents: David’s Miami base thanks to Inter Miami CF, and Nicola’s billionaire clan in Palm Beach.
But here’s the juicy bit: they may never have actually sold it. The house mysteriously disappeared from the market, sparking whispers that they opted to stay as the family feud kicked up a notch around that time.
So what’s really going on behind the double-height glass doors?
Whether the Peltz-Beckhams just bought a new place, or simply decided to stay put, family tensions are rumoured to be bubbling over (see: birthday snubs, potential knighthood no-shows and some very pointed Instagram silence).
So while reports scream ‘new chapter’, the reality? Same old drama.
Backstreet’s back… but where did Nick Carter go?
Nick Carter’s latest selfie has fans doing a double take... and not in a ‘90s heartthrob nostalgia’ way.
The 45-year-old looks so thin, the comments section turned into an Ozempic support group. ‘Hope you’re okay!’ cried fans, while others straight-up begged him to stop whatever he’s been not eating.
He says he’s just ‘soaking up that Vegas heat’ after a well-documented weight-loss journey, and there's nothing to see here. He's right — as this is less headline act, more vanishing act.
Let’s jam! Meghan’s back with a swing, a smile… and another hard sell
Meghan Markle has dropped another dollop of jam-scented optimism on the internet, launching her latest As Ever restock today with a swingset selfie and the caption: ‘No more sleeps’.
We are promised ‘sweet things and delicious surprises’ which, yes, does sound like something from Willy Wonka’s PR team, but it’s still just jam and tea.
After selling out in under an hour last time, Meghan’s gone from misty quotes to shop-girl mode, telling followers: get ready to click.
And while she insists her personal Insta isn’t for promo, it’s basically one pastel, comment-section-disabled post away from flashing ‘10% off with code DUCHESS-2025’.
What in the Devil Wears Prada is going on here?
Anna Wintour is living up to her reputation again and we are here for it.
The undisputed queen of publisher Conde Nast just hit Vanity Fair magazine with a plot twist straight out of Succession, only instead of billionaires there’s Balenciaga.
Staffers at the legacy title are said to be ‘blindsided and devastated’ — already dramatic — after Empress Anna appointed Mark Guiducci, 36, to run the mag. Some of his reported qualifications? Being best friends with her daughter Bee Shaffer and... good at going to parties.
‘He’s not even an experienced editor!’ staff wailed, as Anna allegedly swanned off to a wedding and then on holiday, leaving the chaos behind like a dropped Hermès scarf. Obvs.
Mark says he’s got ‘fresh ideas’ and wants to… ‘have fun’. The staff, meanwhile? Mourning credible journalism like it just got cut from the September issue.
Madonna went to Hamilton, whipped out her iPad mid-show, and now Broadway stars are dragging her like it’s Act 2... no intermission, no mercy.
‘I fell in love…’ Supermodel Tyra Banks on moving to Australia oh, and why she’s ditched catwalks to sell ice-cream cones Down Under.
Miley Cyrus think it’s hilarious that her dad Billy Ray ‘smoked pot’ on the set of her show Hannah Montana. Recollections may vary…
Meanwhile… Beyonce brought the Cowboy, Miley brought the chaos, and Paris just witnessed an epic surprise showdown at Bey’s gig.
Sarah Jessica Parker reveals how mean comments about her looks hit her harder than a pair of Manolos on cobblestones.
Harry Potter audiobook narrator Stephen Fry (keep up!) waved his wand, and poof — JK Rowling’s gone from magical author to 'lost cause'.
