Too late now to say sorry? Justin Bieber’s taunt to wife Hailey is ‘giving Kanye vibes’
We’ve all said things we didn’t mean in a fight. Like, in Justin Bieber’s case, telling your gorgeous model wife she’d never make it onto the cover of Vogue.
In a now-deleted Instagram caption, Justin, 31, admitted the cruel taunt – which aged badly, since Mrs B is the fashion bible’s latest cover star (below right).
‘Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight,’ the singer wrote, reminiscing like it was a rom-com and not… psychological warfare. ‘I told Hails that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes I know, so mean.’
He went on to say he felt ‘disrespected’ and wanted to ‘get even’ – a vibe straight out of a teenage diary entry. ‘Forgive me,’ he added. ‘Cuz clearly I was sadly mistaken.’
Fans… did not react well, with one saying the comment was ‘giving Kanye vibes’. Justin later wiped the caption and replaced it with a string of emojis, including the shrug and heart-hands. Because nothing says ‘emotional growth’ like emojis.
At home with the Biebers:
The couple share son Jack Blues, born last August. Hailey suffered a postpartum haemorrhage and said it was: ‘The hardest thing I’ve ever been through.’
Justin recently admitted he’s felt like a ‘fraud’ and is trying to stop reacting ‘out of spite’.
Obama on an ecstasy pill? Diddy’s trial just got weirder
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’s former assistant, David James, testified that the music mogul once took an ecstasy pill shaped like Barack Obama’s face.
This came out during Diddy’s sex trafficking trial, now in full swing. ‘I saw him take one shaped like a former president’s face,’ James said. ‘President Obama.’
Prosecutors allege Diddy, 55, orchestrated abusive ‘freak off’ sex parties. He denies all charges, though he admits to drug use and domestic violence against singer Cassie Ventura.
And the Obama pill? Just another footnote in the most surreal celebrity trial since… well, the last one.
More shock revelations:
Rapper Kid Cudi’s set to testify about his past with Cassie — and the alleged threat Diddy made to blow up his car. Sheesh!
Cassie’s mother Regina Ventura claimed Diddy threatened to leak explicit tapes of her daughter.
Singer Dawn Richard testified that she saw Diddy physically attack Cassie, including allegedly throwing a skillet of eggs at her.
After Denzel quit Cannes, the rise of red carpet rage
Once upon a time, the red carpet was the Mecca of flawless smiles and perfect poses. Now? It’s a total meltdown fest.
Take Denzel Washington at Cannes this week. The usually unflappable legend lost it when a photographer got a bit grabby. A lip reader reports Den yelled: ‘Never put your hands on me again.’ Next thing you know, he was ghosting the press conference like it was a Tinder date.
Destiny’s other child, Kelly Rowland, went viral for her own finger-pointing episode at Cannes last year. Even Tom Hanks, usually America’s Sweetheart, was caught pointing a stern finger (there it is again) at a Cannes staffer.
So why the rise in red carpet meltdowns? The fact is the game has changed — once stars only had to smile long enough for the press pack to get a good shot, and maybe grit their teeth through a TV interview.
But social media means they now face endless cameras and ‘candid’ video moments, with every facial expression up for analysis.
Plus, many celebs are simply done playing along, and feel more comfortable swapping the stiff ‘smile and wave’ for real feels, even if it gets messy — very Gen Z energy.
Popcorn, anyone?
No make-up Pam brings back the glam
Our favourite Baywatch-babe-turned-Oscar-nominee Pamela Anderson just ditched her natural look for full Nineties glam.
Back in 2023, she gave up wearing makeup to fight society’s beauty standards. But this time? Charcoal liner, overlined beige lips, and fake lashes — yasss!
Makeup artist David Velasquez nailed it. ‘Rock N Roll like the 90s,’ he wrote under his post on Instagram. Fans flipped: ‘I love her no-makeup look, but this feels like home,’ one said.
We love her either way.
Peppa’s new project; Dua’s on top; and new Hunger Games
TV’s most irritating cartoon Peppa Pig just got promoted to big sister, as Mummy Pig gave birth to baby Evie at the Lindo Wing (yes, the royal maternity hospital). Peppa Meets The Baby hits cinemas May 30 amid one of the weirdest PR efforts of recent years. Oink oink!
She’s levitating… right to the top. Dua Lipa has dethroned Ed Sheeran as the UK’s most-played artist. That’s 400 daily spins and a combined seven years of airplay. Standing ovation, sis.
Elle Fanning is joining The Hunger Games prequel as young Effie Trinket — before Elizabeth Banks made the role iconic. With Francis Lawrence directing, this one feels like a winner.
Gwynnie’s ready for her royal cameo
Gwyneth Paltrow is setting the record straight on those Meghan Markle feud rumours. She called the whole ‘pitting women against each other’ thing tired and unnecessary.
But their Montecito neighbour status hasn’t led to weekly wine nights (yet). ‘It’s a text friendship so far,’ Gwyneth said… in a way that shouts ‘invite me over’.
She’s not ruling out a cameo on With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex’s cosy Netflix show (above). ‘Sure! Why not?’ she said. ‘I don’t bake that well, but I can always try.'
But you're good at vagina candles, Gwyn – we all have our strengths.
Raise a glass – Norm has left the building. Cheers legend George Wendt, who played barfly Norm Peterson in every episode of the hit sitcom, has died aged 76. Tributes poured out from his castmates, including Ted Danson.
Money can buy you a super-yacht, but it can’t buy you class. Check out Jeff Bezos playfully spanking his thong-bikini-clad fiancée Lauren Sánchez aboard their $500 million floating mansion.
Taylor Swift just dropped Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version) and the Swiftie squad is not united. Some swear it’s a soul-refreshing bop, others claim she’s slowly wrecking her own legacy.
Michelle Williams just spilled the tea on living with Ryan Gosling during their Blue Valentine shoot, and spoiler: it was ‘horrible’. Girl, no.
Nicole Kidman’s red carpet wig may have slipped, but don’t worry — she’s bounced back with her natural beach curls and hunky Pedro Pascal in tow. Now that’s how you recover from a hair faux pas.
Little Mix singer Jesy’s spilling it all in her new doc — from the band’s split to her premature baby. Brace for tears, truth bombs and total overshare (just how we like it).
Kim K’s latest SKIMS drop lets you fake a nipple piercing for $107 (£80). Because why suffer for fashion when you can just pretend to be edgy?
